Giclée Portugal Prints is based in the beautiful ancient coastal town of Tavira in Southern Portugal.

Although we are a small team, we have a huge and extensive experience in the art of Fine Art Printing, image making, photography and design.

Our printer Pete, ran his own photographic laboratory in London for 25 years, producing prints with the care and skill his acclaimed client base demanded.

For the last 10 years of her life, Pete printed all Linda McCartney’s photographic work for her exhibitions, calenders and books, including Sun Prints, Light from Within and Roadworks and Sixties – Portrait of an Era, which is the highest selling photography book of all time.

Linda was a top photographer whose pictures of rock stars in the 1960s led to her meeting her future husband Paul McCartney.

Books from movies were another speciality and Pete’s flair for precision and detail meant photographic stills from the films shot by Jack English were expertly reproduced.

Notable were Nil by Mouth (Gary Oldman and Luc Besson), The Fifth Element (Bruce Willis, Gary Oldman, Luc Besson), Lost in Space (Gary Oldman and Matt Le Blanc), Legionnaire (Jean-Claude Van Damme) and Wild (Stephen Fry).

Other illustrious clients include Anthony Crickmay (dance and royalty) Eve Arnold (Magnum Photos), Phil Stern (Marilyn Monroe, James Dean, Sinatra, Bogart and other Hollywood icons) Terence Donovan, David Bailey, Eamon J McCabe (fashion) Eamon McCabe (Observer, The Guardian), Tony McGee, HRH Duchess of York, John Mason, Tim Evan Cook, Brian Griffin, Jack English, Gary Oldman, Eric Clapton and war photographer Sebastian Rich.

The National Geographic Society in London trusted Pete with photographer Herbert Ponting’s original and priceless photographic glass plates taken during Robert Falcon Scott’s first Discovery Expedition to the Antarctic between 1901-1904.

Pete has had his prints exhibited at the V&A (Victoria and Albert Museum), Hamiltons, The National Portrait Gallery (London), The Royal Photographic Society (Bath) and The Museum of Photographic Art (New York) to name a few.
